Like in previous years, the Nigerian Embassy in Mexico, led by its Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Mr. Ogbole Amedu Ode, joined the Feria de las Culturas Amigas in its 9th Edition, a cultural event that attracts millions of visitors every year (in 2016 it attracted 3,520,000 visitors) and that is hosted by the Government of Mexico City, capital of the country. The event took place from 20th May to 4th June, 2017.
This year, a fellow African country was the special guests for the FICA 2017, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), because of its rich cultural proposal.
Along with more than 90 diplomatic representations participating, the Nigerian Embassy seized this opportunity to succesfully highlight the gastronomy, art, music, culture and traditions of Nigeria.
